Summary

Description
English: Thin film solar on standing seam metal roof. 5 Kw of installed solar. It would cost about $10,000 for the solar panels. It would probably make $500 dollars a year selling it back to the grid at 5 cents per kw/h (net metering). Metal roofs can have a lower slope because they have a higher wind rating, shingled roofs need a steeper slope so the wind can’t blow up the shingles as easy, therefore can use less building material in the roof structure.
