English: The old station, Peakirk Built by the Great Northern Railway and opened in October 1849, Peakirk station served the Lincolnshire Loop Line between Peterborough and Lincoln via Spalding and Boston. The line is still in use today although passenger services to and from Peakirk were discontinued in September 1961. The station was closed in April 1964 following the termination of freight services. The building itself was derelict for many years before being restored and converted into a private residence in the early 1990s.
