On the way home from work, a senior asked me to visit the office with him, so I followed him and took a picture of the Korean climbing team's decision ceremony to challenge the Himalayan Manaslu (8.150m above sea level) and forgot about it. The Korean climbing team, who started their lonely climb without attention from the media, suffered a catastrophic loss two months later (April 10) at the 6,500m point of Manaslu, where 15 people (4 Korean members and 11 independent climbers) were killed in an avalanche. This film, which had been dormant in a drawer, became a valuable photo that adorned the front page of a newspaper right after the accident. Among the 4 Koreans who died was Kim Ho-seop.
