Summary

Description
English: The former Welney Hotel. This derelict building, formerly the Welney Hotel, is situated adjacent to the northern bank of the Old Bedford River. Subsidence is a common feature of houses in the Fens, due to shrinkage of the underlying peat. This house is no exception, with a sagging roofline and a large vertical crack on the front wall below the chimney. See also 1120475.
