This is not a portrait of Atahualpa. He was garroted, source Burr C. Brundidge, "The Empire of the Inca", et al.

Atahualpa was garroted, not burned at the stake, after he agreed to become baptized by the Spanish, William H. Prescott, "Conquest of the Incas of Peru". This painting cannot be of his being burned as he WAS NOT.
