Summary

Description

This is Gough Square in the City of London. The location of the home Dr Johnson lived in from 1748 to 1759.

This is the courtyard outside of Dr Johnson's House. A statue of his cat is at the other end of it.

Boswell House is at the other end of the courtyard, probably named after James Boswell.
