Summary

Description
English: The 'Skew Bridge' at Norden. The remains of 'Skew Bridge' at Norden. The bridge formerly carried the narrow gauge Fayles Tramway over the standard gauge Wareham to Swanage line. The tramway carried clay mined locally to an interchange with the main line near the site of the current Norden Station. The standard gauge line is now the preserved Swanage Railway, whilst part of the tramway has been recreated on its original track bed within the adjacent Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum. A reverse view to this one can be seen in this image, whilst a view of the bridge from abutment level can be seen in this image.
