Summary

Description
English: The River Thurne. At Martham Ferry. The track seen on the other side leads to Heigham Holmes and Heigham Holmes Drainage Mill; the land across the river is owned by the National Trust and the access road is used mainly by farmers who graze their cattle on these marsh pastures. One of the few remaining ferries in the Norfolk Broads - a floating swing bridge on steel floats with wooden decking, probably built in the 1920s - takes farm vehicles across the River Thurne > 851885.
