| Description | Andris Bērziņš, the president of Latvia, steps away from his review of U.S. troops from Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Calvary Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division, before the Latvia Day Parade on November 18, 2014 in Riga, Latvia. U.S. forces, as well as Norwegian troops, marched in the parade as a show of solidarity for their Latvian brothers-in-arms. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
