Description The Oregonian Building in 1900. This building was completed in 1892, and was demolished in 1950. The clock tower was between 194 and 196 feet (about 59 m) tall, and was Portland, Oregon's tallest structure at the time of its completion (and until at least 1911). (The newspaper moved to another building in 1948, and both the old and new buildings were/are called The Oregonian Building.)
