Description
English: The Mermaid pub, now called The President, Stratford Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, England. Built as a public house, with pub sign, c 1960, sculpted by Alan Bridgwater (attributed) and other carvings by William Bloye. Damaged by fire. Observed January 2015: the mermaid sign/sculpture is missing (date?) from the façade. Fire damage has been repaired.
