Article

The Invention of Morel

Portion used

Front cover only

Low resolution?

Yes

Purpose of use

To illustrate Norah Borges' concept of Faustine, the main female character in the story. Because the artist was the sister of Bioy Casares' best friend, it would be reasonable to assume that the author shared her vision of how Faustine would look like, thus giving further insight into the character.

Replaceable?

No. There are no free equivalents of this image nor they can be made as copyright laws would still apply to any user-made copy. Any non-identical copy would fail to portray the character the way the author might have envisioned her.
