English: The Henry Gregson Institute Moor Lane Lancaster Henry Gregson died on 2 Sep. 1885 aged 85. His Ghost reputedly still haunts the rooms of his memorial building, the Gregson Centre, Lancaster, which was built with funds raised by Christ Church Vicarage, designed by Austin & Paley, and was opened in 1890. The church sold it in 1983 to the Freehold Community Association Charity. Henry had purchased the land for the building of Christ Church, and laid the foundation stone in 1855.
