I found this interesting species on the blossoms of the milkweed White twinevine (Sarcostemma clausum) in a small cypress swamp at Frenchman's Forest Natural Area in Palm Beach County, Florida. Camponotus sexguttatus is a neotropical species from Central and South America that has been recently introduced into south Florida. It was previously recorded from Dade County. These were collecting nectar and behaving much like our native C. floridanus.
