Fitzgerald Contractors have funded a striking eagle sculpture adorning a new sign in West Bromwich which has been unveiled – completing the new Metro Plaza scheme.
The sign features three concentric steel band rings and has been put up outside the town’s ringway entrance to Kings Square.
Flying proudly on top of the new sign is a sculpture of an eagle with a two-metre wingspan. The metal bird of prey is also designed to prevent pigeons from perching on it to stop them ruining the sign and pavement below.
The sign directs visitors to the town centre, markets and Kings Square from the Metro Plaza side and Sandwell College, Metro and bus stations from the Kings Square side.
