English: The Clay Trail near St Blazey The Clay Trails around the St Austell area, first opened in 2005, link old industrual areas around St Austell, the Eden Project and the Wheal Martyn China Clay Mining and Heritage Centre. This photograph shows part of the St Blazey trail, from Eden to Par Beach, that passes through Par and Tywardreath.
The surface of the trails are mainly gravel, easy for walking and cycling and most are suitable for horse riding. Trails and pathways can also be used by electric 'mobility' scooters making this interesting area of Cornwall available to a wider group of outdoor enthusiasts.
