(Reusing this file)
English: The full poster as scanned does not have a perceptible copyright notice; it's likely that the poster, as printed and distributed in 1928, did not carry a notice either. But regardless of whether the original poster had a notice, the copyright for the artwork was not renewed in 1955 or 1956 (see the sections for "Artwork: Original registrations and renewals" and refer to the links). Copyright lapsed at that time. Note that the poster is a distinct work from the film and had to be renewed separately. For countries that do not apply the rule of the shorter term for US works: the artist, Alvan Hadley, died in 1976. As such, under current copyright laws the image will enter the public domain in Canada and Mainland China in 2026; Germany and Switzerland in 2046; Mexico in 2076; etc. See rule of the shorter term and Commons:Hirtle chart for more information.

This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications made by Blz 2049.

Public domain
This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was published (or registered with the U.S. Copyright Office) before January 1, 1929.
The official position taken by the Wikimedia Foundation is that "faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain".
This photographic reproduction is therefore also considered to be in the public domain in the United States. In other jurisdictions, re-use of this content may be restricted; see Reuse of PD-Art photographs for details.
