DescriptionThe Cat Stane at Edinburgh Airport - geograph.org.uk - 1735737.jpg
English: The Cat Stane at Edinburgh Airport This stone is 'airside' at Edinburgh Airport and took a lot of email and phone communication to secure a visit. A visit that required a body scan and security clearance to be granted access. I was then driven across two runways and escorted to the stone for my photographs. The Cat Stane marks the location of a 5th or 6th Century Christian Burial site which during excavation in the 1860's revealed the remains of 51 individuals.
