Text Appearing Before Image: INNERVATION OF MYTILUS CILIA A nerve is found below the postlateral non-ciliated cell, which is just posterior to the ciliated lateral cell. The former cell type is easily distinguishable by the presence of large cytoplasmic granules. Both cells rest on a basal lamina. The ciliated lateral cell receives nerve fibers of the branchial nerve that pass through the ba.sal lamina (Fig. 3).
