English: The Bear Hotel The main coaching inn in Crickhowell, right on the A40 turnpike. The archway would have led to the stables, and a sign above it says Post Horses. I wonder if the sign was there when horses were changed here? Surely people knew where to find things, without having all the signs that we seem to need today. I suspect it is a modern addition, to tell people, "by the way folks in case it escapes your attention completely this is where you would have gone to get your horses".
