English: The Athenaeum The house with a handsome frontage added in the late 18th century was originally the home of Edward Heath twice mayor of Warwick and had been rebuilt after the Great Fire in 1694. It became known as the Athenaeum in 1846 when it provided "facilities for moral and intellectual improvement, by the aid of a library and news room".
To the left of the building is the war memorial.
