English: The ‘textbook’ Akali Nihang fully armed and ‘tyar bar tyar’ (ready-upon-ready). He has ‘Geru’ (red ochre) rubbed on his legs - this is a local Indian remedy to repel insects, also an antiseptic & blood coagulant. ca.1875. An archetypal Akali Nihang Bhujangi warrior.
