Summary

Description
English: Thackley tunnel side refuge A side refuge illuminated blue by the daylight filtering down the tunnel.

Thackley old tunnel was built in 1848 on the Airedale line between Leeds, Bradford and Keighley. Originally there was just one Tunnel cut, but in 1900 the line was increased to four tracks and a second tunnel bore was constructed.
