Summary

Description Candid photo of bandleader Ted Fio Rito taken while he was on the air for NBC Radio in Chicago. Fio Rito is shown conducting the orchestra and also playing piano.
Date The photo has a 1936 date written on the back. The press releas mentions the Clara, Lu and Em radio program which moved to NBC in 1936 and on which Fio Rito provided the music. When one of the principal actresses died suddenly in 1937, it was decided to stop doing the radio show. It did not re-appear on radio again until 1942--then on CBS.
