English: Mahmoud Tarzi (August 23, 1865 in Ghazni - November 22, 1933 in Istanbul) was one of Afghanistan's greatest intellectuals. He is known as the father of Afghan journalism. As a 1975 source, this picture taken after his publishing of Seraj-al-Akhbar, This newspaper was published bi-weekly from October 1911 to January 1919.
