| Description |
English: This may have been an ash chest or other vessel, with Christian symbols. One of some pictures of the church, with two from its garden. I failed to get pictures of its interior. In 1123 the Crusaders built the semi-fortified Cathedral of Our Lady of Tortosa over a Byzantine church that was popular with pilgrims. The Cathedral itself was used as a mosque after the Muslim reconquest of the city, then as a barracks by the Ottomans. It was renovated under the French and is now the city museum |
