DescriptionTar Rocks, Portland at low tide - geograph.org.uk - 737171.jpg
English: Tar Rocks, Portland at low tide This photo was taken at 12.45 am when the tide was at its lowest state. The large rock in the foreground is one of the few Tar Rocks that are visible at high tide. This view is looking north along the line of the grid line towards Chesil beach and Fortuneswell. Some of the smaller rocks that are further west (to the left) are actually in SY6772 and are only exposed and become accessible at these low tides. The position was measured with GPS with 12 ft stated accuracy.
