Italiano: E' un tamburo dalla forma particolare, quasi piatta, molto diffuso in Somalia. Presenta due membrane perfettamente tonde saldate alla bassa cassa di legno da una serie di tiranti in pelle composti da un'unica striscia che scorre lungo tutta la circonferenza delle membrane. Il tamburo si percuote sul lato della membrana più ampia, tenendolo tra le ginocchia, in posizione accovacciata. Una particolarità è rappresentata dal rivestimento in stoffa (cotone) tra le pelli e la cassa lignea. Su un lato lo strumento presenta un laccio di pelle, ad anello, per il trasporto.
