Roku Jizō signifie 6 Jizo. Une représentation très répandue au Japon, en particulier à l’entrée des cimetières, est constituée de 6 statues de Jizo, une pour chacun des 6 mondes (loka). de gauche à droite :
1. Hōshō Jizō 宝性地蔵, also known as Hashō Jizō 破勝地蔵 or Gasshō Jizō 合掌地蔵
mains jointes – monde des asuras
2. Chiji Jizō 地持地蔵, also known as Gosan Jizō 護讃地蔵
rosaire (mala) – monde humain
3. Hōin Jizō 法印地蔵, also known as Sanryū Jizō 讃龍地蔵
bannière de victoire (Dhvaja) – monde des animaux
la bannière de victoire symbolise la victoire de la connaissance sur l’ignorance.
4. Hōshō Jizō 法性地蔵, also known as Fukyūsoku Jizō 不休息地蔵
tient un encensoir – monde des devas
(Hōshō semble être le même nom que 1. mais en réalité ne se prononce pas pareil)
5. Darani Jizō 陀羅尼地蔵, also known as Ben-ni Jizō 牟尼地蔵
main droite : abhaya mudra (protection, absence de peur) et gauche : joyau – monde des pretas
6. Keiki Jizō 鶏亀地蔵, also known as Enmei Jizō 延命地蔵 or Kōmi Jizō 光味地蔵
bâton de pèlerin (main droite) et joyau qui exauce les souhaits (main gauche) – monde des enfers
