English: Sicilia, Syracusae. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC.
AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 17.31 g, 12h). Obverse die signed by Phrygillos, reverse die in the style of Euarchidas. Struck circa 415-405 BC.
Head of Arethusa left, hair in ampyx with ΦPY on the front, wearing single-pendant earring and pearl necklace; Σ-Y-[P]-A-KΩ-ΣI-ΩN and four dolphins around
Charioteer, holding kentron in right hand and reins in left, driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer with wreath; in exergue, grain ear left.
Italiano: Sicilia, Syracusae. Seconda Democrazia. 466-405 a.C.
AR Tetradracma (25mm, 17,31 g, 12h). Dritto firmato da Phrygillos, rovescio nello stile di Euarchidas. Coniato circa 415-405 a.C.
Testa di Arethusa sin, capelli tenuti da ampyx con ΦPY nella fronte, indossa orecchino a singolo pendente e collana di perle; Σ-Y-[P]-A-KΩ-ΣI-ΩN e quattro delfini interno.
Auriga, tiene kentron nella mano destra e redini nella sinistra, guida quadriga veloce sin; sopra Nike in volo sin che lo incorona; in esergo, spiga sin.
