Description
English: Susan B. Anthony's diary entry for January 1, 1872. In it, she says she traveled 13,000 miles during the previous year and spoke at 170 meetings. She indicates that she met Senator-elect Aaron A. Sargent, who later introduced what would become the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and his wife Ellen Clark Sargent, who later would become treasurer of the NWSA.
