Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Surau Tuo Kayo Jao merupakan bangunan tempat ibadah. Surau atau disebut Masjid Kayu Jao, mulai dibangun pada tahun 1599. Terletak di Jorong Kayu Jao, Nagari Batang Barus, Kecamatan Gunung Talang, Kabupaten Solok. Bentuk bangunan berciri khas Minangkabau dengan atap gonjong bagian mihrab. Bangunan ini termasuk benda cagar budaya yang dikelola oleh Balai Pelestarian Peninggalan Purbakala. Surau ini masih dipergunakan untuk ibadah hingga saat ini.
