English: Storåne (great river) is a part of the Hallingdalselva (Hallingdal river). It flows through the valley and traditional district of Hallingdal in Buskerud County, Norway. In the valley, the river is often referred to as Storåne ("the great river"). In Hovet they name it always Storåne, not Hallingdalselva. A lot of its water is also running down from the Stolsvatnet lake.
The river is popular for fly fishing.
