DescriptionSteam Train enters roundhouse at Greenfield Village - photo 20.jpg
English: These photos were taken on October 22, 2005, about a half hour after Greenfield Village closed. In this series, the steam engine "Torch Lake" is put away in the roundhouse for the night.
The photos show the engineer blowing ash from the engine before it enters the turntable. The turntable was so well balanced that the engineer just had to give it a good strong push, then the turntable coasted to the spot where it linked up with the roundhouse track. Finally, we see the engine moving into the roundhouse under it's own power.
I've numbered the pictures in sequence number. Enjoy!
