Summary

Description Statuette of the goddess Luna from the Macon treasure. The goddess is recognized thanks to her hat, a crescent of Moon. Originally, Luna held a torch in the right hand, which allowed her to see and know everything. 150-220 AD. Now in the British Museum, inv. 1824.0426.5. Picture taken at the Oog in oog met de Romeinen (Eye to Eye with the Romans) Exhibition in the Gallo-Romeins Museum of Tongres.
