English: Colossal seated Zeus from Gaza, Roman period. Statue of Zeus, Istanbul Archaeology Museum, last room of the ground floor. The king of the gods, ruler of Mount Olympus, and god of the sky and thunder in Greek mythology.
Español: Colosal estatua de Zeus sentado del período romano, descubierta en Gaza. Según la mitología griega, Zeus era el «dios del cielo y el trueno», y el «gobernante del Monte Olimpo», y según la mitología romana, su dios equivalente era Júpiter, el «padre de los dioses y los hombres». Pieza conservada en el Museo arqueológico de Estambul.
