A touch of melodrama and a warm background colour draw the eye to this magnificent poster, lithographed by the Christchurch Press.
The artist was Stanley Davis, a supervising artist of the New Zealand Outdoor Advertising Branch. He had studied art in London and Paris and was responsible for several striking posters.
