English: Stanford Warren. This nature reserve contains one of the largest reed-beds (phragmites)in Essex, created by gravel extraction in the 1920s, together with areas of marsh and rough grassland. This is one of the ponds viewed from the footpath. The area is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust and their website for the reserve is here http://www.essexwt.org.uk/Sites/Stanford%20Warren.htm
