English: Site of St Catherine's holy well in Rathbeagh. The holy well has long been destroyed, already Canon Carrigan describes it that way.[1] Coincidentally photographed on the day when the pattern was held until 10 years before Eugene O'Curry wrote "There was a well between the church and the Nore, called St. Catherine's Well, at which a patron was held till within the last 10 years, on the 24th day of June [...]"[2]
