Summary

Description Footings of 12th century chapel outside the neolithic cave inhabited by the 12th to 13th century hermit Robert of Knaresborough, at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. In the centre of the image is Robert's grave cut into the rock. It is quite small. Part of the chapel may have been adapted in the 13th century for the use of visiting pilgrims.
