English: St Philip with St Stephen Church St Philip with St Stephen was designed by Sir Robert Smirke in 1825. The buildings Greek style is unique in Salford, its bowfronted porch with ionic colonnade and balustraded parapet and bell tower above. The church became St Philips with St Stephen in 1962 when nearby St Stephens church closed and the congregations merged.
