Description
English: St Peter's church. St Peter's church > 1455212 is located on an elevation just south of Brooke Road. A C15 piscina > 1455261 with ogee hood moulds and carved faces of children can be seen in the chancel. It still has the original wooden credence shelf. A mural depicting St Christopher, opposite the south doorway, is partially covered by a 19th century wall monument. Beside the modern font underneath the tower there are the remains of a Norman font made of Purbeck marble. A brick-faced wafer oven > 1455273 can be seen beside the font in its original position in the south wall of the tower.
