Summary

Description Interior of Church of St Paul, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, designed by William Swinden Barber in 1881. Showing clock chamber. On top of the tower clock mechanism housing, you can see the driver cogs and spindles for the clock faces. The visible spindles lead to the east (right of image) and west (left) clock faces. There is a spindle leading away from the viewer to the north clock face (not visible). Below is the housing for the Victorian tower clock mechanism - you can just see the top of it through the glass. There is no public access to the tower.
