Summary

Description
English: St Pancras Station, with 0-4-4T station pilot.
View SE between Platforms 3 and 4, towards the buffer-stops; ex-Midland London terminus. Ex-Midland Johnson 1P 0-4-4T No. 1382, fitted with condenser for working down the Metropolitan Tunnels, stands in one of the centre roads. In the wintry gloom, the size of the great arch of the train-shed is evident. It was rather less splendid in 1948 than it is now , restored and preserved in the new St Pancras International of 2007, together with the clock over the concourse just visible at the end.
