English: St Mary's church, Stelling Evidence suggests that there has been a place of worship on this site for at least 1500 years. The building you see today was dedicated in 1130 AD. It was extensively altered and added to in the 13th and 14th centuries. A commentary speaks of magnificent stained glass in the 15th century. In 1792 the interior was fundamentally modified in a non-conformist style giving the layout you see today: pews facing the pulpit, a gallery, and almost no stained glass.
