English: St Martin's, Marple Viewed from across the carpark of Marple Station, St Martin's is said to be a "Victorian gem" and an outstanding example of the work of the Arts and Craft Movement. It was built in 1870 with land and money donated by Ann and Maria Hudson, followers of the Oxford Movement who lived in Brabyn's Hall in nearby Brabyn's Park. The architect was John Dando Sedding, a leading ecclesiastical architect of the era.
