Summary

Description Bronze statue of St George and the Dragon, in a niche of the Caen stone baptistry screen on the west wall of St George's Church, Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England. The statue is by architect Thomas Ralph Spence (1845–1918), and was in place by 1888. The screen was sculpted by Robert Beall (d.1892) to Spence's design.
