St Andrew's church > 802478 houses one of the major art objects of England - a late 14th century rood screen which is very little restored > 802482 - 802487 - 802490. The paintings of saints, arranged in pairs on altogether 16 panels, are of very high quality. Other medieval survivals are the large octagonal font with lions at its base > 802498 and stained glass depicting angels > 802492. The pulpit is Jacobean > 802493. Some of the bench ends came from Kings College Chapel in Cambridge > 802496. The church is kept locked but a key is available.
