Description

De kathedraal van Sint Stanislaus en Sint Vladislas is de belangrijkste katholieke kerk van Litouwen. Koning Jogalla begon met de bouw in 1387. Iedere eeuw daarna werd de kerk wel een keer vernietigd en weer opnieuw opgebouwd. Laurynas Gucevičius gaf de kerk in de 18e eeuw zijn huidige klassieke vorm met Gotische elementen.

De beltoren (57m hoog) werd gebouwd in 1522.
