This photo was created in the original size of 3888x2592 pixels and was shot with the Canon EOS 400D (Rebel XTi) using Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Zoom Lens. Cropped and fit in lightroom. The way the photograph was originally captured in my opinion wasn't correct or either following a photographer's code of practice. The completely incorrect use of technicalities by employing large aperture, high ISO and fast shutter speed to compensate hand-shakiness in this evening low-light scene have made this photograph to be a "luck-shot" if you ask me. I was there attending a Good Friday Procession after a day's out of photo shooting without having any thought of bringing a tripod. I didn't have anything to lean on, so I had no other choice but to sacrifice a little quality. However, I was quite concerned about the ISO performance of my camera after seeing the same scene with ISO 1600, it was... You know, horrible. So I lowered to ISO 400 to compensate noise and chroma.
The evening sky has been pleasant on the day of shooting. The sun was hiding behind the steeple of the church as if were creating a great halo. Many have asked if the image has been "overly edited"; by all means no. Only vast amounts of perspective correction was applied to the image and small amounts of hue editing was done. This scene would indeed benefit from a tilt-and-shift lens which unfortunately, am not a owner of such a lens yet.
